Trailblazing (trailblazing.anglican.ca) is an online educational program developed jointly by Ask and Imagine – Huron University College and The General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada. Trailblazing consists of a series of learning modules that are designed to provide online theological formation for youth ministry leaders of all ages to equip them for effective ministry in their local context.

By purchasing a subscription and participating in the Trailblazing community, you agree to abide by the rules and guidelines outlined in this policy. To remain a member of Trailblazing, you must be considerate to all members. Repeated violation of these community standards may result in being banned from entry or participation in Trailblazing.

USERNAMES AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
While Trailblazing welcomes the use of nicknames as usernames, it does not permit anonymity or multiple accounts. Registration requires your real name and valid email address, although your email address will be hidden from other users.

If you choose to use a nickname, please refrain from using one that might be considered offensive. If you choose a username that Trailblazing administrators or moderators consider obscene, indecent, abusive or inappropriate, we reserve the right, without prior notice to you, to change your username, delete your posts, deny you access, or any combination of these options.

Your account with Trailblazing is to be used by you alone, and passwords should not be shared. Always exercise judgment when revealing personal information about yourself or others when you post messages in Trailblazing. For more information, please read General Synod’s Privacy Standards Policy.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Trailblazing exists to develop professional competency, skills and insights for youth ministry. The Ask & Imagine Youth Theology Project at Huron University College, and the Anglican Church of Canada are both diverse communities of believers and that diversity will be reflected in the content of modules and in comments. Forum posts must be respectful and courteous.

These types of behaviour are forbidden:

  • flaming: posts that attack or harass other people
  • trolling: posts intended to provoke emotional responses or arguments
  • campaigning: posts that promote or attack a political party
  • advertising: blatant solicitation for business
  • inappropriate content: language or media that is obscene, profane, sexually suggestive or abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, hateful, or that contains racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable content

TOPICS & MODULES
Trailblazing’s modules are divided into topic areas for ease of use and invite users to participate in conversation about specific aspects or questions about the module. Please keep your posts focused on the topic or question at hand. If you have any questions about topics or modules please contact us at trailblazing@national.anglican.ca.

COPYRIGHTED AND TRADEMARKED MATERIAL
Copyrighted or trademarked material may not be posted in the forums without the expressed permission of its author or owner. Brief excerpts or paraphrases of other written material may be posted, but should be cited. In the case that you are unsure about the copyright of a particular source, we encourage you to provide a web link.

USER CONTENT
As a member of Trailblazing, you are solely responsible for the content of your posts. Trailblazing’s administrators and moderators have the right, but not the obligation, to comment on or remove content that is in violation of these community standards.

RETURN POLICY
If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return your order for a full refund within 30 days. We’ll only have one question: how can we improve your educational experience?

We want Trailblazing to be a valuable tool for your ministry with youth. Please let us know how we can make it better.

If you wish a refund, please email trailblazing@national.anglican.ca and we will start the process. Refunds will be processed in 15 business days.

Subscriptions purchased by cheque will be refunded by cheque. Subscriptions purchased by PayPal will be refunded by PayPal. Courses purchased using a combination of money and a promotional code will be refunded with money and a reactivation of the promotional code used. We will be happy to refund you the full amount paid for all free courses.

Trailblazing reserves the right in its sole discretion to limit the number of refunds allowed by each member, including, but not limited to, cases where Trailblazing suspects abuse of the program. Trailblazing may change these terms and conditions or may cancel the program with respect to any or all participants at any time. Void where prohibited.
